Milica Milša

To have both, personal style which indeed reflects your personality and inner glow and the right attitude to support it in the right way never looked so easy as recently on social media. But to have it in all in real life as a part of your lifestyle even when camera lights go down is so very rare, especially during these hard times when people are either taken by the fear of Coronavirus, or by their own personal demons they tried to escape before they got locked down in isolation. So we watch more TV, we read more books, we try to organize our time and adjust to all the anxiety up in the air. The biggest fear is not virus itself, it’s the knowledge that you might not have been what you think you are. But let’s go back to having the right attitude, inner glow and television for a moment. One of the rarest people I have ever met that has it all and who’s face, talent, beauty and charisma are making life look so beautiful and full of hope is famous Serbian actress Milica Milša. A woman who spreads love in its essenntial, real and most honest shape that even I was left without words.

Why is Milica so special? What’s her secret? How she remained being in a spotlight for a long time and even shine brighter than ever? And most importanly, why is honesty always the best policy, she reveals in all her beauty in our little talk we had.

1. How would you explain the phenomenon of Milica Milša, being the most beloved actress in Serbia whose star is shining more bright?

Now I'm a little ashamed, is it possible that I really did all that you said? If I am, then it is a great responsibility, I must be up to the role. Being a favorite one is wonderful, but it is also comes with a responsibility and obligation not to let down those who love me.

2. Your appearance and utterly unique charisma are radiant on screen as well as in private life, which is rare. Is the combination of beauty, honesty and honest goodness an advantage or a disadvantage in today's world?

I am one extremely simple person who always sees the good in people, I am a loyal and honest friend, I do not fake things and say what I think and feel. Whether honesty, beauty and goodness are flaws or advantages in today's world, I don't know, I know it's only possible to be your own version of yourself, because if you betray your true self, you will surely fail others too. Of course when I say to be my own version of myself I mean that it’s crucial for your actions not hurt to others, because then it is something completely different. That is how I am in my private life. And when it comes to the roles I interpret, there I can be all that I am not private life, but only if the character I play requires it. And I enjoy playing, because acting is a sort of game, so it often happens to me that when I play some vicious roles, my colleagues who I am in that scene with, and who I just hang out with, will say, wow you are so dangerous, when you give us that look, we can’t see you as you, we're all a bit scared!

3. What the public may not be familiar with is that you are big human and animal rights activist. You skillfully manage to combine acting, the private role of mother and wife, the love for the entire world, people and animals, and in all things you remain being yourself, dignified and contagiously positive. How do you manage it?

I think the common denominator of everything is love. Everything I do, I do with love and out of love. I think there is no other way to go through this thing called life.

4. Milica Milša did not change, only roles changed coming one by one. What is your favorite role so far?

All roles are dear to me in their own way, and I love them all, and I enjoyed them all while working and building characters, whether they were positive or negative ones. It seems to me that it is simply impossible for me to choose just one role as a favorite, there are really more to it. I'm someone who has a hard time deciding on just one thing, so I order coffee and lemonade and water in the cafe too ... once Zarko, my husband, took a photo of a table in front of me, as if he was sitting with three and not only with me ... So how could he I only choose one role ...

5. What can you tell us about your role in the currently perhaps most popular series, Game of Destiny?

Ada Kanacki's role in the series "Game of Destiny" is definitely one of my favorites. It's a real pleasure to play that character. Ada is a lioness woman, a fighter, a wolf! But she is also a mild and caring mother and a good friend. Ada, as she says, bites for two things as a lynx- for the family and for justice. She is a strong woman, powerful, knows what she wants and struggles to achieve it, protects the ones she loves, goes one step ahead of everyone, and when you think she doesn't know something, she just wants you to think so. Although she’s rich, she takes care of the workers and is close to social justice. Ada is an ancient Greek heroine.

6. It is little known that you directed the theater play "Chicken" for which you received the Zoran Radmilovic prestigious Award, as well as "The Great Oscar’s Cabaret". What is the difference between acting and being at the other side of the stage, and what did your journey into becoming a director look like?

Yes, twice I had a trip to the director's waters, the first time I directed Zarko's hilarious comedy   “Kokoska” at the Zoran Radmilovic Theater in Zajecar, and the second time it aws “Oscar's cabaret” play, because the producer Darko Popovic liked how “Kokoska” play turned out, so he hired me for a cabaret. Being a director means being a leader, and I'm not a leader, and I have no desire to become one. All the responsibility is on the director as if being the conductor, and I kind of prefer being a violin.

7. What would most of our readers be interested in is what’s the beauty routine of Milica Milša, since you are famous for your youthful look and beauty besides being famous for your success in acting?

Since the shoots last 12 hours five days a week and in the evenings I act in theater plays, and in some plays I even have a beautiful mustache and beard, drew on my face. I sometimes happen to have makeup on my face for almost 20 hours, so the most important thing is to thoroughly remove and deep clean it all, and then I apply natural serums and creams. I use only natural and organic cosmetics and it is my favorite thing. And of course the genes did their own thing. And of course I go to a cosmetologist for face cleansing, but I do nothing aggressively and I don’t inject any miracles, because I am strongly against it.

8. You always had a distinctive style. How would you describe it and who are your favorite designers, considering that you are among the few public figures who openly support local designers as well?

I adjust my outfits to my mood and to occasions. As I wear heels all day on the set, I try to replace them privately with flat shoes. I love and I support local designers the most, my favorite dress, my life dress is the Sister’s Code fashion brand dress behind which sisters, Vladana Veljkovic and Bojana Veljkovic Tomic stand. When I put on my favorite perfume of the domestic brand Ipseity, and so get the impression that the whole world is mine!

9. In these difficult times, it is difficult for people to stay focused on the positive aspects of life, and I have personally experienced you as a generator of love and positivity. Do you think love always wins in the end?

Love will save the world, otherwise, if there is no love in any form, then we have spent time on this planet in vain.
